Raymond Brevetti of Waldwick died May 20. He was 79. He was an auto mechanic before becoming an installerrepairman with New York Bell Telephone Company. He was a parishioner at Church of the Guardian Angel in Allendale. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth of Mahwah and Margaret of Waldwick, and several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret. Arrangements were made by Olthuis Funeral Home in Midland Park. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Bergen Unit, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Jon Webb Davis, formerly of Wyckoff, died May 20. He was 32. He had worked as a case manager and field supervisor for AHRC New York City. Previously he had worked as a group home supervisor at Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat in Wyckoff. He is survived by his wife Monica, his daughter Hope, his parents Joe and Carolyn Davis of Newbury Park, California, his siblings Kati Peterson of Lake Stevens, Washington, Sarah Dunn of New York, New York, and Jeff Davis of Yokosuka, Japan. Deeks, nee Tancik, of Ridgewood, formerly of Midland Park, died May 20. She was 89. She had worked as a health home companion. She had served as president of the Girls Scout Council of Lake Placid in the 1940s. She was active in the Democratic Party Organization while living in Midland Park. She is survived by her children Arthur of Lewes, Delaware, and Jonathan of Franklin, North Carolina, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur and her son Martin G. Deeks. Arrangements were made by Olthuis Funeral Home in Midland Park. She was 33. She was a teacher at the Paul R. Smith Middle School in Holiday, Florida. She was a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She is survived by her husband Peter, her mother Lesley Johnson of Tarpon Springs, Florida, her father George Johnson of Midland Park, her brother Tim, and her Aunt Barb and Uncle Ken. Patricia Foley, nee Mahody, of Hawthorne, formerly of Washington Township and Mahwah, died May 20. She was 71. Before retiring, she was an administrative assistant at Berkley College in West Paterson. She is survived by her husband James J. Foley, her daughters, Ann Foley of Rockland County, New York, Jane Fenkart and Christine Carone both of Hawthorne, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother John Mahody. Harriet Hup, nee Korn, of Midland Park died May 14. She was 91. Before retiring, she worked for F.W. Schumacher Inc. of Midland Park. She was a member of the Midland Park Senior Center. McCausland of Monroe, New York, formerly of Wyckoff and Ridgewood, died May 18. He was 58. He was a senior manger with Sony Corp. He was a member of Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church in Wyckoff and was active in Wyckoff youth sports, especially baseball. He is survived by his wife Mary McGohey McCausland, his children Megan of Atlanta, Georgia, and Matt of New York City, New York, his mother Mardie Maupai of Florida, and his siblings Leslie Cory of Tenafly, and Richard “Kib” of Mahwah. He was 68. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Before retiring he was a program manager for IBM in Franklin Lakes. He is survived by his wife Kathryn, his daughters Terry Ziegner, Krissy Sciarra, and Kathy Marrazzo, four grandchildren, and his sister Connie Van Orden. He was predeceased by his brother Leo. Mary Elizabeth Schneider, nee Appert, of Allendale died May 18. She was 88. During World War II, she was employed by Wright Aeronautical Corporation in Paterson, serving her country and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. She was a member of the Ridgewood Woman’s Club and the Ho-Ho-Kus Woman’s Club, where she was past president. She is survived by her children Kathy Stoler of Allendale, Pat Barnes of Christiana, Texas and Paul Schneider of Cromwell, Connecticut, four grandsons, four great granddaughters, and her brothers Edward “Pat” of Fairfax, Virginia and Paul “Doc” Appert, and her companion Joseph Graham of Ridgewood. Van Emburgh Funeral Home, Ridgewood. Mabel L. Tribiano of Midland Park, formerly of Saddle River, died May 18. She was 84. She was a registered pediatric nurse who worked as a school nurse at Westside Presbyterian Nursery School and later at Community Blood Services in Paramus. Before retiring she was a private-duty nurse for over 10 years. She volunteered as directress of the Cottage Place, Ridgewood and was director of the Saddle River Chapter of the Kurth Cottage Women’s Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband Calvin W. Tribiano, MD, her children Calvin W. of Newark, Delaware, Jane O’Keefe of Wyckoff and Jeff of Pompton Lakes, and two grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff.

In addition to his responsibilities to the Township of Wyckoff, Shannon is a lecturer for Professional government Educators and an instructor for Rutgers University. He teaches ethics, purchasing management, municipal finance, and a course on how to serve on a governing body. He has authored chapters in two Rutgers textbooks, and has published multiple articles on ethics and municipal issues. Shannon was surprised last week at a Wyckoff Township Committee meeting when Committeeman David Connolly, a fellow Scout leader in Troop 77, announced that the administrator had received the Silver Beaver Award at a BSA ceremony the previous night. Friends at Wyckoff Town Hall made an official proclamation, but did not include it in the packet Shannon and his aides make up for the press.
